Hey, hey Philly Grubbers. I hope your summer has been fantastic so far! Life truly felt like it had returned to normal, but sadly, because of the Delta variant of COVID-19, we may be taking a few steps back. Some restaurants are now requiring mask-wearing again or even proof of vaccination. Restaurants continue to struggle with staff shortages and supply chain issues, so be kind! No matter where you sit on the fence, there’s still plenty of opportunities to support local businesses whether you dine in or continue taking out.
With that said, let’s dig into this edition and stories you may have missed. 😊
Happy 13th Birthday to Philly Grub!
Philly Grub turned 13 last month! So much has changed in the Philly food scene since I started food blogging. Restaurants have come and gone. Food trends have come and gone. “Influencers” weren’t a thing when I got started. I was a girl with a passion for food and writing and making connections with fellow food lovers. It’s been a fun journey; I have eaten a lot of good food and have met so many amazing people. I don’t know what the future holds, but I’m still having fun and eating lots of good food. Thanks for being along for the ride and supporting independent journalism.
Vote for Philly Grub as Philly Metro’s Best Philly Blogger!
Philly Grub is honored to be nominated as Philly’s Best Blogger in this year’s Philly Metro’s Philly’s Best. Voting is open until September 28th and you can vote daily. Thank you!
